Why use GrowthLoop and Lob?

Lob is a direct mail marketing platform designed to connect to a modern marketing tech stack. It offers automation, personalization tools, and tracking metrics for physical mailer campaigns, with data activation and mailing address verification tools. Lob also reports that they are sustainable and carbon neutral.

Connecting Lob to your GrowthLoop instance allows you to curate and activate your marketing audiences in your direct mailing campaigns, and keep those campaigns up-to-date.

Common use cases for GrowthLoop and Lob

How to set up GrowthLoop and Lob

Connect GrowthLoop to Lob to send and sync your audiences for your direct mailing campaigns. To get started, you'll need a data warehouse (or other data source), an audience in GrowthLoop, a Lob account, and Lob API Keys (Test or Live).

Step 1

Log into your Lob account.

Step 2

Navigate to the Lob API keys section to find the API key. You should have either a Test key, if you are using their test environment, or a Live key, if you are using the actual service. Record the API key value.

Step 3

Go to Destinations in the GrowthLoop platform.

Step 4

Select Lob.

Step 5

Configure the Destination with the API Key you identified earlier. Also, choose a name for the Destination and set the sync frequency. Click Create.

Step 6

Navigate to Audiences in GrowthLoop, and select the audience you are exporting.

Step 7

Click Export, then search for and select Lob.

Step 8

Select your Campaign type (Ongoing or One Time), Campaign status (New or Existing) export schedule (how often you want the audience to export), and an Export name.
Note: If you’re selecting an Existing campaign to update, you also need to provide the Campaign ID number from Lob.

Step 9

Verify that the export is working by going to Lob and opening the Campaigns tab.
