How to set up GrowthLoop and Rokt
Export audiences from your data warehouse to Rokt for enhanced targeting and personalized campaigns.
GrowthLoop uses the Rokt Custom Audience Import API endpoint. To get started, you'll need a data warehouse, an audience in GrowthLoop, a Rokt API Key, a Rokt Account (App) ID, and a Rokt App Secret.
Step 1
Contact your Rokt account manager for your API Key.
Step 2
Log into the Rokt platform at my.rokt.com. Select your account to connect to GrowthLoop and then look at the URL. Make a note of your Account ID, which is the number immediately following my.rokt.com/accounts/.
Step 3
Click your username, then Profile Settings. Navigate to Generate Personal API Credentials, and enter an App Name (such as “GrowthLoop”), then click Generate to obtain the App ID and App Secret for the app.
Note: You will be unable to view or copy the App Secret after leaving this page, but you can generate a new set of API credentials if needed.
Step 4
Go to Destinations in the GrowthLoop platform.
Step 5
Select Rokt.
Step 6
When prompted, log into the Rokt account through GrowthLoop.
Step 7
Configure the Destination based on your needs, and enter the API Key, Account ID, App ID and App Secret from earlier.
Step 8
After you link the accounts, return to Rokt in the Destinations page, select the audience you created, and export it to Rokt.
Step 9
Select your campaign type, export schedule (how often you want the audience to export), and personalization fields.
Step 10
Find your exported Audiences in Rokt. When you create a campaign in Rokt, you select from your existing list of Audiences such as the one you just exported via GrowthLoop, for targeting.
Step 11
Every 15 minutes, or on the schedule you have selected, GrowthLoop will update the audience in Rokt. removing users that no longer meet the audience criteria and adding newly qualified users.
