How to set up GrowthLoop and Mailchimp
Create a customer list and send it to Mailchimp through GrowthLoop’s platform. To get started, you'll need an audience in GrowthLoop and a Mailchimp account.
Step 1
Open Mailchimp and locate the API Keys section.
Step 2
Select or create an API key, and record the API key value.
Step 3
Click the Audience icon in Mailchimp and select All Contacts.
Step 4
Choose the audience you want GrowthLoop to sync with, and select it.
Step 5
Open the Settings for that audience, and locate the Audience ID.
Step 6
Go to Destinations in the GrowthLoop platform.
Step 7
Select Mailchimp.
Step 8
When prompted, log into the Mailchimp account through GrowthLoop.
Step 9
Configure the Destination based on your needs, and enter the API key and audience IDs from earlier, then select sync frequency and specify a Team that will use the audience.
Step 10
Once you link the accounts, select the audience you created and export it to Mailchimp.
Step 11
Select your campaign type, export schedule (how often you want the audience to export), and personalization fields.
Note: GrowthLoop sends all audience segments to the same ‘Audience’ list in Mailchimp, instead of breaking out into different lists. Lists of users exported from GrowthLoop receive a Tag with the name of the audience exported from GrowthLoop to allow for easy selection.
